Delorean Time Vehicle MARK I (1985)In 1985, the mad genius Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown, transformed this relatively unassuming vehicle, the Delorean DMC-12, into one of the first machines to travel through time. It later came to be known as the Delorean Time Vehicle MARK I, an enigma of a machine that concealed its main source of power with a seemingly ordinary facade with a stainless steel exterior and gull-wing doors.
In it was the flux capacitor – a central piece of technology that enabled this “Back to the Future” car to travel through time. Through this scientific marvel, one would only need to reach a precise velocity of 88 miles per hour to begin one’s journey through time – a road that remained untouched until our very first time traveler, the space dog Einstein, paved the way for an exciting adventure through history. The ORIGINAL that set time travel history!

The 'Jules Verne' Steam Train (1890s)
Having found himself stranded in the wild west during a time when Hill Valley was surrounded by vast, untamed landscapes, Doc Brown had no choice but to transcend 1885 technology and construct the marvel of Victorian engineering known as The ‘Jules Verne’ Steam Train.
Accompanied by his beloved Clara and two children, Jules and Verne, Doc Brown embarked on a remarkable project that would see him meld two of the things he loved the most in the world: his family and their desire to explore the vast expanse of the space-time continuum. Fueled by steam and the flux capacitor - the Doc renewed his journey across time and space onboard a steam locomotive that was brought to life by boundless creativity. After these events, countless others can continue to marvel at the ‘Jules Verne’ Steam Train at the Universal Studios Theme Parkin Florida, where it stands to this very day. |
Delorean Time Vehicle MARK II (1986)
Following the events that transpired in 1885, it was unfortunate that the original MARK I was destroyed by a speeding locomotive hurling down the tracks. But through its destruction, the next chapter of time travel emerged in the form of the MARK II. Its genesis came from a spare Delorean bought together with the original but was never completed until the need for time travel resurfaced.
Through Doc Brown’s forward thinking, he was able to build the MARK II as a beacon of efficiency by equipping it with the Delorean fusion reactor – The Mr. Fusion system – from the beginning. Through the Delorean fusion reactor, time travelers no longer have to draw power from plutonium and can instead use the energy contained within everyday organic waste.
To this day, Dr. Brown continues to make use of this “Back to the Future” car for his personal travels throughout the space-time continuum, stored with his Steam Time Train in his home with his beautiful family in the 19th century that continues to serve as his part-time residence.

Delorean Time Vehicle MARK III (1991)
The Delorean Time Vehicle MARK III represented one of the biggest departures from the original design. Unlike previous iterations, the MARK III has pushed the boundaries of time travel into new experimental frontiers thanks to its modular setup, which allowed for features to be added or removed as needed.
One of these new installations was the addition of advanced time circuits, which included voice activation and spatial displacement capabilities, which enhanced the experience of all time travelers aboard the MARK III. Through these capabilities, time travelers were now able to issue commands and input destinations through vocal prompts.
However, the installation of these enhanced features was not without its difficulties, as harnessing these technologies proved to be challenging, which led to its eventual decommissioning.

8 Passenger Delorean Time Vehicle (1991 Prototype)
During the days when the institute was still in operation, it undertook one of its most ambitious projects yet: to create a time vehicle capable of making group time travel a reality. Through constant planning and innovation, we were able to create the 8-Passenger Delorean Time Vehicle, which not only made group time travel possible but also did so in style as was also a convertible!
The 8-Passenger Delorean came with a Delorean fusion reactor and had no built-in controls for the passengers, but time travelers were able to control it remotely. Unfortunately, its ambitious design posed a challenge as it came with limited space, which meant using a miniaturized version of the flux capacitor to circumvent its spacial limitations.
Despite its groundbreaking achievements, the 8-Pasenger Delorean project was eventually halted due to the closure of the institute. The prototype was eventually decommissioned before it could be proven safe enough for group time travel.

Delorean Time Vehicle MARK IV (2016)
The Mark IV chose to revisit the roots of the Mark I/II for their track record in time travel reliability. The Mark III updates were rolled back to the mark II. Upgrades that this model saw were in electronic components and passenger comfort. The upgraded stereo system provided for much more enjoyable travels, relocated A/C ducts made it more comfortable, and LED technology took some of the electrical strain off of the nuclear reactor during temporal displacement.
The reason Deloreans are still used today is due to their stainless body design, which helps with the dissipation of flux energy generated in a displacement. Unfortunately, the year 2015 where we used to obtain the original hover conversions from Goldie Wilson Hover Conversion Systems, no longer exists due to the small changes in the timelines. Even with our experienced time travel team; to go back and re-alter the timeline in order to reveal that version of 2015 could be disastrous and irreversable. However, due to a glitch in the space time continuum we do still have artifacts from those alternate timelines that are not otherwise obtainable, like Hoverboards, and spare Mr. Fusion generators (JUST IN CASE!) Delorean Time Machine MARK V (2045 Experimental/Decommissioned)
After much travel around the space time continuum, and the public attention behind our efforts, we felt it important to investigate extra safety and security measures for the Time Vehicle. Using the Mark IV as a platform, we have been experimenting with implementing A.I. microprocessor systems from some of the best in the industry. The A.I. has difficulties making decisions during temporal displacement so our experimental vehicle has a disabled Flux capacitor and nuclear reactor at this time.
