The 'Jules Verne' Steam Train (1890s)

After the events of 1885, Dr. Brown and his now wife Clara had 2 children; Jules and Verne. With their shared love for time travel, they decided to build another time machine, this time in the form of a train that runs on steam. It has a large Flux Capacitor near the front, and Dr. Brown was able to retrofit it with a hover conversion from the now defunct timeline where Goldie Wilson III had a hover conversion company. It was named the Jules Verne train, and the family uses it to hop around the space time continuum.

Time Vehicle MARK II (1986)

This vehicle began being built at the same time as the MARK I. This vehicle was completed in 1986 out of the necessity for time travel, after the Mark I was destroyed by a train. This was built from a spare delorean that was purchased together with the first and was never completed. Instead it was stored in a secret laboratory as a backup. The main difference is that this version was optimized for the Mr. Fusion system from the beginning. Dr. Brown utilizes this vehicle for his personal travels to this day. It is stored with his Steam Time Train at his home in the 19th century where he resides part-time with his family. Imagine that commute to the lab!

Time Vehicle MARK III (1991)

This was one of the biggest experimental departures from the original design. A modular setup allowed for features to be added or removed as needed. New time circuits included voice-activation and spatial displacement that allowed the vehicle to not only transport time, but location as well. Difficulty in perfecting the voice recognition and ability to anticipate the earths precise rotation at any given point in time led to it's eventual decommission.

8 Passenger Delorean Time Vehicle (1991 Prototype)

While the Institute was in operation, one of the biggest projects was group time travel. An 8 passenger vehicle was created, and it was even a convertible! It was remotely controlled, with no built-in controls for the passengers. A miniaturized flux capacitor was also created for this vehicle due to the limited room. It was made to be faster and more efficient but the Institute closed, the program was terminated, and the prototype was decommissioned before it could be proved safe enough for the general public's use.

Time Vehicle MARK IV (2016)

available for demonstration
The Mark IV chose to revisit the roots of the Mark I/II for their track record in time travel reliability. The Mark III updates were rolled back to the mark II. Upgrades that this model saw were in electronic components and passenger comfort. The upgraded stereo system provided for much more enjoyable travels, relocated A/C ducts made it more comfortable, and LED technology took some of the electrical strain off of the nuclear reactor during temporal displacement.

The reason Deloreans are still used today is due to their stainless body design, which helps with the dissipation of flux energy generated in a displacement.

Unfortunately, the year 2015 where we used to obtain the original hover conversions from Goldie Wilson Hover Conversion Systems, no longer exists due to the small changes in the timelines. Even with our experienced time travel team; to go back and re-alter the timeline in order to reveal that version of 2015 could be disastrous and irreversable.

However, due to a glitch in the space time continuum we do still have artifacts from those alternate timelines that are not otherwise obtainable, like Hoverboards, and spare Mr. Fusion generators (JUST IN CASE!)

Delorean Time Machine MARK V (2045 Experimental/Decommissioned)

available for demonstration
After much travel around the space time continuum, and the public attention behind our efforts, we felt it important to investigate extra safety and security measures for the Time Vehicle. Using the Mark IV as a platform, we have been experimenting with implementing A.I. microprocessor systems from some of the best in the industry. The A.I. has difficulties making decisions during temporal displacement so our experimental vehicle has a disabled Flux capacitor and nuclear reactor at this time.
